About First Day
What shall I bring in on the first day of school?
- Immunization Record: please follow this instruction online to get your child’s immunization record and send it to info@rainbowchildrenacademy.com.
- Digital Family Photo: please send it to info@rainbowchildrenacademy.com
- Blanket: Please bring this kind of blanket to school. No pillow and No heavy blanket please
- Backpack: Please carry a backpack to school every day. We will bring your homework, school project, dirty cloth back to home every day. Here is an example from Amazon.
- Water Bottle: Please bring a 14 OZ or smaller size water bottle to school for water drinking. Please make sure it is BPA free product.
- Sunscreen: please bring a sunscreen stick for kids. please click here to download the form.
- For non fully potty trained children, please bring in
- Diapers or pull ups for one week
- Wipes
- Cream
- Extra clothes: please put them in your backpack every day.

About Referral Fee
Does the school provide referral fee?
Yes
How much is the referral fee?
$300 per enrollment
When will school issue the referral fee?
Upon the finishing of a new enrollment. After a family finishes DocuSign enrollment and registration, the school will send the family an email asking if somebody refers the school and if so, whom the person is. After the contact information of referrer is confirmed, the school will issue a check of $300 to the referrer.
Who can be a referrer?
The person who strongly refer the school to you. Normally, they are the current RCA families or previous RCA families. A person who has never sent her/his child to RCA normally cannot qualify as a referrer, but there is exceptional case.
I'm the newly enrolled family. I got referral of the school from multiple persons. May I call out two or more referrers?
The school has a budget of $300 referral fee per enrollment. If you call out two referrers, they will share the $300 . The school suggests you to call out one, but it is your call.
I'm the newly enrolled family. I got referral from the internal discussion group of my company. There is a post there and multiple persons mention your school. Whom shall I call out as referrer?
Your call. You can choose the starter of the post as the referrer, or the person who posts more detailed information that helps you most on the finding of our school as the referrer, or nobody.
I'm the newly enrolled family. I got referral from the WeChat group. Multiple persons mention your school. Whom shall I call out as referrer?
Your call. You can choose the one influence you the most or nobody.
I'm the newly enrolled family. I found your school from google search and there is no referrer. Whom shall I name as referrer?
Nobody. The school will not issue any referral fee to anybody under such situation.
I'm current RCA family. I strongly refer the school to a family and that family has enrolled. However, that family doesn't call out my name as referrer. May I get the referral fee?
Yes, feel free to contact Mary, the Center Director. We will issue referral fee to you. We appreciate your support to the school.
About Gift Card
Is teacher allowed to accept gift card from parents?
In general, RCA does not allow teachers to accept gift card from parents. If some families give gift card and the others do not, the families who do not give gift card might be concerned if their children get less attention, even if it is not true. In order to prevent such concerns from happening, RCA doesn’t allow teachers to accept gift card. So, please do not offer gift cards to teachers. RCA teachers treat each child equally.
I want to express my appreciation to teachers during holidays, how shall I do that without giving gift card?
Normally, parents want to express their appreciation during major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Teacher Appreciation Week etc. to teachers. There are several ways that you can do this without giving gift card. 1) Write a positive comments in WeChat group, 小红书，Google Review or Yelp Review, and let teachers know you do that. This will give teachers more encouragement and recognition than a gift card 2) During teacher appreciation week (second week of May each year), you can buy some flower for teachers if you want. The flowers from the parents of all classrooms will be re-packed together and evenly distributed to each teacher of RCA. So, if you do not bring in flower, it is totally fine. 3) Buy an age appropriate book or toy for the class where you child is in. It benefits all children including yours and helps teachers’ work.
About Parent Communication
What's the communication channels between me and RCA?
There are six channels
1) Classroom email: each classroom has a classroom email. Feel free to use this email to raise any questions to the lead teacher of your child anytime. The response time shall be 24 hours or less

The first four are used for you to reach classroom teacher, and the last two are used for you to reach Center Director.
May I add teacher's personal WeChat or cell phone?
Please do not do that. Teachers’ WeChat or their cell phone are their personal property. RCA already provides four other channels for parents to easily reach teachers. Please use these formal channels.
